Emily Chun is a Seoul-born, New York-based writer. She has written about art for the Brooklyn Rail, Art in America, Frieze Week, ArtAsiaPacific, ArtReview, and has curated exhibitions at various museums and galleries.
She is pursuing her doctorate in art history at Stanford University, where she focuses on the relationship between sculpture of the late 1980s & the era’s larger socioeconomic changes such as de-industrialization and the decline of the American middle class. Her work has been supported by the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation Fellowship in Art History.
She is a member of the curatorial collective Below Grand in NYC.
